Don’t change your name, change 
the game

Recent data shows that 41% of gamers are women and that 4 out of 5 of them have experienced harassment. Sexual messages, name-calling, mansplaining, boycotts, or unpleasant approaches. Whore. Cunt. Show your tits. “I will find out where you live and I will kill and rape you". As many as 59% of female gamers now play with male or gender-neutral aliases to avoid harassment. The "Don't change your name, change the game" campaign highlights the problem. Women must be allowed to play under their own names, without harassment. To get this important message across, we asked five female players to share the worst comments they've received and got one of Norway's most famous CS stars to play under a female alias.
